FAQs

How Easy Is The New York To Set Up?

Very easy! The New York AirJet only takes around 10 minutes to set up and up to 1–2 hours to fill with water depending on your water pressure. You inflate the Lay‑Z‑Spa using the pump and you don’t need any tools.

How Much Does The New York AirJet Cost To Run?

The cost of running a Lay‑Z‑Spa hot tub depends a lot on each individual user and how it is used as well as outside temperature, positioning and more. This Lay-Z-Spa has fully integrated EnergySense® thermal insulation that automatically makes it up to 40% more energy-efficient than a conventional inflatable hot tub.

Does The New York AirJet Have A Warranty & UK Support Team?

Our standard warranty is 12 months on the pump and 6 months on the cover, liner and inflatable lid. This warranty can be extended (by registering on our website) to 24 months on the pump and 12 months on the cover, liner and inflatable lid. We have a free UK based support team who are fully trained to help Lay‑Z‑Spa owners. For warranty or support enquiries, please use our Contact Page.

Does The Lay‑Z‑Spa New York AirJet Plug Into A Normal UK Socket?

Yes, all Lay‑Z‑Spas are designed to plug into a standard UK 13amp/240V electrical supply. We advise that you always use an RCD protected socket (like those installed in your home) and not an extension lead. The hot tubs cable is 7 metres. You can see our Hot Tub Collection for all compatible products.

Does the Lay‑Z‑Spa New York come with a cover?

Yes, all Lay‑Z‑Spas come with a secure-locking protective cover to prevent debris from entering the water and improve heat retention. All our hot tubs also include an inflatable lid which helps to maintain water temperature when the spa has been switched off and helps it heat faster.

Do You Need To Put Chemicals In The Water?

Yes, it is essential to use chemicals in your Lay‑Z‑Spa. We recommend ClearWater Chemicals which are designed with Lay‑Z‑Spas in mind.

Can You Put The New York Indoors?

Lay‑Z‑Spas are suitable for use both indoors and outdoors. Most Lay‑Z‑Spa customers set them up in their gardens, either on the grass, patio, decking or in their summer house. If setting up on artificial grass, we recommend using rubber matting and/or shoes to reduce static. For indoors, you should consider factors such as drainage and ventilation.

How Long Does The New York AirJet Take For The Water To Heat Up When You First Fill It?

This can vary depending on the temperature of fresh water that goes into your spa and the ambient air temperature. On a typical summer’s day in the UK, it can take on average 6–12 hours to heat the water to 40°C. Once the water is up to your desired temperature, the pump can be left on, efficiently heating the water.

What Is Freeze Shield™ And How Does It Work?

Designed to automatically increase water circulation around the pump, the system prevents water freezing, so you can enjoy your hot tub all year round. The FreezeShield™ is a built-in feature to the pump, and is activated so long as there is a power supply to the unit. As soon as the pump detects the temperature of the water has dropped to 4°C, the heating system activates to bring the temperature to 10°C (which is the temperature to be safe for the Spa to operate at).
